E. Terry Durant

E. Terry Durant is a graduate of Kent School and Colgate University.  He then spent the next two years as an Officer in the U.S. Navy.  He received his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School and spent several years with the National Labor Relations Board as a supervisory trial attorney.  He joined the firm Cummings & Lockwood where he became the head of the Labor and Employment Department.  He has practiced labor law in Connecticut since 1964 and is featured in all editions of The Best Lawyers in America.  Mr. Durant is a member of the bar in Virginia, Connecticut, U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Attorney Durant is also listed in Connecticut Magazine, Top Lawyers in Connecticut, and New England Super Lawyer.  He served as an elected member of the Trumbull Town Council and has also served on the Executive Committees of the Bridgeport Regional Business Counsel, St. Joseph's Manor, Visiting Nurses Association, and the Bridgeport Diocesan Health Care Corporation.  Attorney Durant is active in the Labor Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, having been elected its Chairman on two occasions.  He is also admitted to practice in Virginia.
